

Head coach Angela Crossley is seen below welcoming him on board.įormer Secretary Mike Butterworth has returned to the hot seat after a few years away and once again the club are delighted and thankful he has come forward.Ĭommittee member Jo Coverdale has been busy in the kitchen recently and after the successful Quiz night last weekend where she was heavily involved with the food, the queen of catering was once more busy as she prepared the traditional wine and cheese supper. Mike Abel has kindly stepped into the role as club treasurer and the club are extremely grateful for his help in this challenging role. She has agreed another three year contract with the club and is excited with her future plans.

She bid a fond farewell to coaches Sam Moore and Josh Bayliss who she has spent many hours with and seen develop through playing to coaching and highlighted this as a real pleasing and rewarding aspect of her job. Head Coach Angela Crossley has been pleased with the continued development of her coaching team and the number of events she has organised in the junior ranks. Match Secretary Jill Abel announced that the club would once again be entering 11 summer teams in a combination of Mixed, Mens and Ladies competitions and although the club had struggled on court result wise this term there still remained a great interest in team tennis at Wetherby. He also explained the current finances at the club and the future plans during an explaination of the balance sheet.Ī big thanks to Peter Johnston who stepped in for secretary Jeremy Reddish, who was absent, and took the minutes. Steve Jones once again delivered an excellent chairman’s report and outlined the years achievements and the direction the club was heading. The AGM was held at Castlegarth this evening.
